How the Math Works
Every calculator uses one of these formulas. None of these are official manufacturer specs — always confirm against the battery label or your owner's manual for critical decisions.

Multiply capacity by a chemistry-specific factor.
Required CCA by Engine
Displacement × fuel factor × climate multiplier, plus a safety margin.
Rec = Min × 1.15
Temperature Adjustment
CCA changes about 0.6% per °F relative to the 0°F rating.
CCA / CA / MCA / HCA
Each rating is a fixed multiple of CCA based on its test temperature.
